Her mother Tūhourangi-Ngāti Wahioa, Ngāti Tarāwhai and Ngāti Hinemihi, her father Ngāti Rangitihi and Ngāti Porou.  

 

Maina inherited her komiti legacy post when brother John (a founding member) returned to Aotearoa. The conservation and promotion of Hinemihi ki Rānana and Tikanga me Kawa Māori is a priority. Also a member of Ngāti Rānana and past chair of Te Kōhanga Reo o Rānana,  

 

Looks forward to engage with Hinemihi's local English communities and working alongside her whānau, Ngā Kohinga Whakairo o Hinemihi to achieve shared goals and aims.
